We just want to thank you for choosing us to capture this special moment in your life! It was an amazing day on a beautiful location (which has became one of my favorite spots for outdoor photography). We couldn’t ask for any better weather (maybe a little cooler, lol) to capture the engagement photos for Stacey and Rick at Cataract Falls. The wedding is set and all the details are falling into place. Enjoy your pictures posted on your gallery.

As you’ve noticed this past weekend all the fighter jets zooming at lower altitudes getting ready for our biggest event ever. We were able to capture some nice shots at Mount Comfort on a beautiful day with blue skys. Check some of the shots. Thanks Blue Angels for the smoking news of our Open House! Speaking of it, our studio is DONE (did I mention it’s DONE). It’s hard to beleive after all the hard work, we’ve got a nice setup ready for photo shoots. Don’t miss our open house.. come and join us for a tour and bring your kids for a free portrait and some snacks…maybe Julie will make some of her famous sweets! We’ll be open from 1:00pm to 4:00 pm. Come in to the open house to make an appointment…20% off any studio photo shoot orders scheduled during the open house, plus a special on canvases during June and July.

It’s about time! It has been more work then we’ve imagined, especially as we have been doing all the finishing touches by ourselves. This past week I’ve being working on windows, doors and base board trim. Our new computer desk with computer equipment has moved into the studio. For this up coming week we’ll be installing our flat screen and all the lighting equipment. It’s been very exciting to see our new space coming together. There will be a free Kids Portrait just for having you passing by! Please join us for our grand opening. We’ll tell you our specials very soon; just go to our web site and use the contact us and sign in!
We’re very excited about our studio open house; this new space took us longer than what we’ve expected. To get the studio done, we are using whatever resources we can; just look at Tiago (our almost 2 year old boy) making sure that I measured twice and cut the drywall once : ) .We’ve came a long way from the foundation to where it’s now. We still have a few minor details to be done. This week the hardwood floor will be installed and then the windows will be trimmed out. We’ll be hanging some of our art work and studio hardware. The new studio will always be ready for photo shoots once completed. It will feature it’s own entrance that will separate our personal life at home from the business. The new studio space has been designed with tons of photographer/ customer amenities; a floor free of lighting and background supports. I’ve chosen the wall mount telescopic system from Manfrotto. We are also planning to have a big screen on a swivel arm for tethered shooting connected to our computer through HDMI, so our clients will be able to see the results instantaneously.
This is just a sneak peak- check later we’ll tell you how you came and visit us for our grand opening. Lot’s of freebies and specials to come!

It’s been a while since I’ve photographed Ellie; She has grown so much and this week while in “vacation” I had the opportunity to take some shots of her in a beautiful location - Asheville NC, Just by the mountains where the fog in the morning is amazing! For this shots I’ve used one of our SB 800 in wireless mode to creating enough light to simulate a beautiful sunny morning…
Mom and dad enjoy these pictures!

Aunt Garn had asked us to take some pictures this summer after seeing earlier pictures of Julie’s Grandma. We had our equipment in the car when we headed to her home for a family get together and did a little impromptu photo shoot in the dining room. Julie’s cousins joined in the practice shots- we had a lot of fun playing around with the girls. She grew up in Sullivan, but she loved great clothes and spent most of her working life in Chicago. Aunt Garn shows off her glamourous side- thanks for being such a great sport and model!

We met Kim a few months ago for her daughter Sam’s senior pictures, and now we had the opportunity to photograph the entire family! It was a lot of fun photographing them at their home. There was a lot of giggles and blinking whether the flashes were firing or not. They have very spontaneous, caring, beautiful smiles… ( I didn’t had to pull out our talking pig ). So here is a sneak peak of their photo session. To view your images please log into our client session and enjoy!

Congratulations to Ashley and Stephen! They had a beautiful and very relaxed wedding ceremony this past Saturday 13th at Community Center Church in Plainfield. The wedding party was very spontaneous and we took full advantage, capturing them in their best behavior. Check out some of the priceless images here, and soon we’ll post the entire wedding into their private gallery. Fell free to leave a comment or special message to Stephen and Ashley while they are gone to the honeymoon!
